Dear Nicole St. Eve,

We are pleased to offer you a new full-time role with 2004437 Alberta Ltd. O/A Home Care Assistance of Calgary as a Junior Home Care Liaison (JHCL).  The Junior Home Care Liaison is responsible for building and maintaining referral relationships, acquiring new clients, ensuring overall satisfaction with HCA services, and coordinating with local teams to ensure the provision of high quality service.  Junior Home Care Liaisons are responsible for maintaining a book of business that meets and exceeds established revenue and client acquisition targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Building and maintaining relationships with referral sources in the community to build brand awareness and new clients for Home Care Assistance. Ensuring the satisfaction of the referral sources worked with to generate ongoing, long-term business

Building priority lists, advancing relationships, tracking personal activity effectively and completing all the other necessary steps of successful referral marketing as outlined by the Business Development Process

Representing Home Care Assistance in networking groups, at events, on committees and in other community settings

Responding to prospective client inquiries, whether in-person, via phone or web form, and ensuring they receive the information they need

Learning the assessment process and conducting assessments with prospective clients as needed, addressing their questions and concerns, building relationships with their families and converting them into long-term clients

Communicating effectively within the team to ensure that the care plans meet the clients’ needs, that stakeholders and referral sources are satisfied, and that relevant information is communicated in an effective and timely manner

Providing active relationship management when needed for existing referral cases – this may include home visits, referral meetings, family meetings, and more.

Providing after-hours support for referral partners, prospective clients, and active clients (incl. evenings and weekends) – this support may include e-mail, telephone and/or home visits

Helping team to ensure that client accounts are up-to-date – especially when referrals are received from clients’ legal/financial advisors, coordinating with the finance/billing team, and communicating with families and/or financial managers when needed

Maintaining a working knowledge of HCA requirements and obligations where licensed as a Home Care Agency, including the obligations to clients and caregivers

Maintaining a pulse on the strategic position of Home Care Assistance within the market, identifying new opportunities to enhance HCAs’s reputation or build the referral base, helping to implement new programs and national/regional initiatives, and helping the team members to better understand the competitors and potential new team members as relevant

Additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by your supervisor.

Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

One plus years of sales experience preferably in health care or related field

Excellent customer service and sales skills

Computer proficiency and ability to document sales activity timely and accurately

Current driver’s license and proof of insurance

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel 50 – 75% of the time

Ability to lift and carry up to 10-15 pounds

Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the work day

Ability to use standard office equipment such as personal computer, laptop, telephone, photocopy machine, etc.

In addition to your regular responsibilities, we expect that you will provide on-demand support for your colleagues and participate in company and regional initiatives. You will be based in our Calgary office (Unit 107, 10333 Southport Rd SW) and required to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday. You will also be responsible for working senior related events on weekends.

Start Date

April 11, 2022 (“Start Date”)

Compensation

Your rate of pay will be a salary (“Wage”) of $75,000 per year, less all applicable statutory deductions, and will be payable bi-weekly through direct deposit.

In addition, you will be eligible for company performance bonuses.  The bonus will be structured as details are attached on document two.

You will be eligible for our Group Benefits package through Green Shield on April 11, 2022. You will also receive 2 mental health days per calendar year after your probationary period of 90 days. You are also eligible for the following employee benefits: Cell phone, laptop and underground parking pass. In addition, you will receive a monthly gas reimbursement of $650 per week if you are seeing clients and referral partners in the community.

Vacation

You will be entitled to vacation as set out in the applicable Alberta provincial employment or labour standards legislation. You can take 3 week’s vacation (15 days) in your first year of employment. You must finish your probationary period of 90 days before taking any vacation time.

Termination of Employment

You may terminate your employment by providing the Company with a written notice of resignation at least two (2) weeks prior to the effective date of resignation.

The Company may terminate your employment for just cause at any time without notice, severance or pay in lieu of notice.  If you are terminated for just cause you will only be paid any accrued but unpaid wages and vacation pay.

Return of Company Property

Upon the termination or cessation of employment, or sooner if it is required by the Company, you must deliver to the Company all materials and equipment received by you from the Company or from any of its customers in connection with such activities.

They may have and release all such parties from any liability which may allegedly arise from furnishing such information to Home Care Assistance of Calgary, including, but not limited to liability for defamation or invasion of privately.

Probationary Period

Our employment relationship is ‘at will’ and you have the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time during your probationary period of 90 days, subject only to the agreements described above. While we hope you will be successful with Home Care Assistance, we also reserve the right to terminate our employment relationship at any time in your probationary period of 90 days.
