Tim Thomas Sr. – Job Summary

Manage accounts receivable, collections, banking, accounts payable

and associated QuickBooks accounting

Assist with payroll review and any related adjustments in the form of employee cheque payment or electronic transfers

Prepare monthly file for accountant. Includes assembling receipts, Visa statements, back-up for banking transactions,

Manage ongoing relationship with the CNESST (government regulatory/labour board) This includes workers comp, licensing as well as general employee requests; e.g. work history, compensation, salary garnishment, etc. Document keeping as required.

Manage the annual government training allowance requirement.  This involves data collection and preparation followed by the report filing post year end to substantiate that HCA is spending 1% of salaries on employee training.

Pay equity – Law requires us to conduct a pay equity review every five years, followed by annual filing.  My responsibility manage those filings and to coordinate with our consulting partner to deliver the required payroll data in support of HCA’s pay equity compliance.

Responsible for administering the group benefits program for Ontario and Quebec employees.

Other Responsibilities:

Insurance for offices, including liability coverage for services offered.

Coordinate maintenance services for both offices.

Manage relationship with landlords and other suppliers as needed
