Client Directed Home Care Invoicing Have you been approved for AHS public home care? Have you recently been approved for Client Directed Home Care (CDHCI)? Are you currently using a self-managed care program and are looking to switch to a simplified direct billing option? Now, you can choose TheKey as your home care provider. The Client Directed Home Care Invoicing Program (CDHCI) is a progressive option offered by Alberta Health Services (AHS) to support clients with their personal care needs, respite, and homemaking. TheKey can provide your loved one with a premium home care service that allows you to arrange your loved one's care and have TheKey directly bill AHS through Alberta BlueCross for the care provided. Client Directed Home Care program allows any Albertan approved for public home care the opportunity to use TheKey’s private home care services. With Client Directed Home Care, you can access your choice of provider, improved cash flow with direct billing, and additional services should your budget allow. Our team of expert home care professionals are approved providers of the new Client Directed Home Care Invoicing program and can directly bill Alberta Health Services (AHS) on your behalf. Most families use this funding to significantly reduce the amount needed to keep their parents safe and comfortable in their homes. When you use TheKey, you have more control over your care and the scheduling of your care. We visit when you most need us in the home. You will receive the best customer service and a personal relationship with a local, experienced private company. Home Care Services Covered Under CDHCI The following home care services are covered under the CDHCI program up to the authorized monthly hours: Personal care: includes assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobilization and transferring, feeding, oral care and medication management. Homemaking: includes services, such as assistance with homemaking support in the form of laundry, bed changes, general housekeeping tasks, meal preparations and companionship. Respite care: includes day, evening or night care to give unpaid caregivers (typically family) a break from care. Direct Billing You’ll no longer be required to pay out of pocket for most of the home care expenses or the administration of managing reimbursements. TheKey directly bills Alberta BlueCross on your behalf. Reduced Administrative Burden When you choose to work with TheKey, our professional team manages all the responsibilities of recruitment, hiring, background checks, insurance, WCB coverage, caregiver management, payroll, and submitting invoices to Alberta BlueCross for reimbursement so your loved one can have worry-free care and focus on their health. How do I apply for Client Directed Home Care? If you already receive in-home personal care funded by AHS, the transition can be seamless with TheKey. If you don’t already receive care, you must prove eligibility for approval. It is essential to meet the requirements an Alberta Health Services case manager determines. They will assess your situation and determine if you meet the necessary criteria for home care services. If you want to receive an assessment, call 811 or (403) 476-2910. They will guide you through the process and provide the necessary information. You can also visit the Alberta Health Services website for more detailed information about home care services.
