Home Care in a COVID Environment PAC Facilitation Guide Meeting Objective: Understanding the current COVID protocols in place for each member and his or her clients/patients/residents. Understand how these will evolve in the winter and how they are planning for flu season and the impacts it may have on their business/practice and industry. *If your PAC is in-person, print out the below flyer using this link and hand it out to all attendees. If it is virtual, you will want to email this to them a few days prior to the meeting. Ice Breaker to kick-off the meeting: PAC host to choose one of the following ice breakers to include on the calendar invite to your attendees so they’re prepared for the question on the day of the meeting. We suggest the ice breaker take around 10-15 minutes depending on the size of your group: What are you grateful for today? Select something on your desk. Why is it special to you? “I rock because…” list some of your accomplishments that you’re proud of! It’s important to appreciate yourself. Bring a coffee/tea mug that has a story behind it and be prepared to share HCL Introduction: “I’m happy to start the discussion around COVID protocols, and what we’re currently doing at Home Care Assistance to keep our caregivers and our clients safe. If you want to pull up the flyer that I shared with you, you will see the various protocols we have in place, such as (select 3 “features” that your office is doing and speak to the benefits to the client and the referral partner for each one). “ Host to Reference this document that has the benefits we discussed on the 9/24 National Sales Huddle. Now, who would like to discuss their company’s current COVID protocols next? As a general prompt to the group, you can pose these questions: What are your current protocols? How have they changed since March? And do you foresee them changing again soon? Specific Prompt Questions for SLCs What are you anticipating the holidays will look like for residents to ensure their safety? Will you have socially distanced activities? Will family members be allowed to visit? As flu season ramps up, what protocols are in place to decipher between the flu and COVID for residents? Specific Prompt Questions for SNFs/Hospitals Will there be enough beds with an influx of patients in the coming weeks and months? How is the hospital preparing for this? Specific Prompt Questions for Wealth Advisors/Financial Professionals/Estate Planners How are you currently working with clients? Meeting in-person? Over the phone? If one of your client’s has COVID, are you typically alerted? If yes, what does a typical conversation look like? To close out the meeting, ask the following question to the group: Is there anything you foresee needing help with in the coming months that I, or other members of this group, could assist with?
