We also know that it has led to client referrals, which is the ultimate goal and a strong focus in 2021. *Here is how we will be elevating the PAC in the new year:* - *PAC Topics/Facilitation Guides* will go out in the first Monday's toolkit of every month. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of these powerful resources and get your own Professional Advisory Council up and running! *January PAC Topic. *The January PAC topic is on professional goals and challenges in 2021. We also introduce the concept of a Vision Board in the facilitation guide as something members can do post-meeting and report back on at the beginning of the February meeting if they choose to share. *Please find the Facilitation Guide Attached.* If you missed our PAC Topic last month or just have not gotten to it yet, here are some resources for a topic centered on mental health in a time of COVID-19. This is based on Dr. Ionascu's presentation that she did for our organization a few months ago. - Mental Health in a Time of COVID-19 - send this to your PAC members a few days prior to the meeting and ask them to read it. - PAC Facilitation Guide - reference this document to guide your PAC meeting. The guide includes an introduction and questions to spur discussion among your group members. - *Mental Health Tips * - Send this flyer to your PAC members post-meeting! Use this as an opportunity to thank them for the great discussion, share some mental health tips and best practices and get your January PAC meeting scheduled. *NEW *HCA Life Enrichment Guide! Back by popular demand, we have created a new Life Enrichment Guide that we encourage you to share far and wide. Our strategies are as follows: - *Senior Living Communities* - send this to Activities Directors and Executive Directors at SLCs. Ask for a meeting to walk them through the guide and showcase its value for their residents as well as use it as an opportunity to talk about BCM and CTM. Offer to do a virtual walk-through of the guide for their residents as a special event. - *SNFs* - send this to the Community Liaison or social worker/administrator designated to oversee activities at the SNF. Ask for a meeting to do a virtual walk-through of the guide for their patients. - *GCMs - *send this to your GCM partners. If we currently are providing 20+ hours of care to their clients, explain how our caregivers can use this with their clients to provide enrichment and stimulation. If this is
