However, it is common practice to pay a KM rate. Most private employers in Canada will pay mileage even though they don't have to= . We need to set a rate. Also, we have WCB clients - WCB is a government contract, and they only pay .54 a KM - which means that all of our WCB caregivers will only be paid .54 a KM as we can't lose money on this.
