Scheduling has found it very difficult to staff the adjacent suburbs surrounding area i.e. Grafton has been a huge challenge for scheduling, finding caregivers that are willing to travel the distance. We expressed concerns prior to accepting this case, however we were instructed to pursue the case to build relationships. Norman's bill rate is $42, we have to pay the caregiver $25hour just to get them to accept the case. We currently have one very skilled caregiver willing to travel, however she does have another job. She is scheduled for 4/5 days each week. Scheduling has been unable to find a caregiver to accept on- going shifts for the day she is unavailable. If the caregiver calls out the shift it is difficult to re-staff the shift; we don't have caregivers in that area/ willing to travel to the area. It is my understanding the recruiter is recruiting in the areas that are challenging to staff. Some feedback we are getting from caregivers; the rate is too low, the travel time is too far for the short amount of hours. Both replacement/ fill in caregivers have been added to the due not send list and Pat will follow up with coaching.
