She is going to send me the development plan as soon as she finds it. Thank you, James ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Meredith Scully Date: Wed, Jan 9, 2019 at 12:59 PM Subject: Re: Goals/measurement scheduler To: James Patchett Cc: Michele Boehmer , Walter Jones Hi James- we had a hard time deciding how best to manager our staffing managers performance when it came to measuring key performance points. That said, we did set department protocols they has to accomplish each week.* For example, all shifts had to be staffed by Wednesday at 5p.m leaving Thursday/Friday for new / call off shifts, lists for on-call staff had to be completed by Friday at closing, hand off meetings complete, updates email to all staff showing status on call cases going into the weekend just to name a few. * So much of what they do is reliant on other team members and caregivers. We found the best way to manage their performance was through quarterly reviews where we spent time identifying areas for improvement/training/coaching opportunities. We did put together a development plan for them which I'm trying to find for you. In the meantime, I have attached an on-boarding plan that we found helpful for newer team members. I have found, developing this role to know not just their scheduling piece but rather the entire office operations, improved performance. A staffing managers responsibilities are typically very broad and they need to know more than just scheduling so we push on cross training in all areas of the operations which is why we started with the on-boarding plan. I'll forward the development plan once I find it. Hope this helps.
