She was saying 30k to settle the balance, which is ridiculous because the total due is 94k. I told her by any means we cannot accept this at all because that's less than half. She was saying that they are not obligated to pay etc. I had let her know that she needs to go back to the client's financial advisor and come up with a larger amount. I told her I will try my best and get a good discount for her to settle the account but it would not be anywhere near 30k. We can maybe at most offer a 30% discount. But she is saying in order for her to try and get more, she needs the contract. How do we proceed, I don't want to send anything until you have reviewed it because I know the facility was also involved. Please if you can work with the ops team to see what contract we can send, that would be great. I just need a contract. I will provide everything else. thank you, ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Lisa Quesnelle Date: Tue, Jul 11, 2023 at 5:06=E2=80=AFAM Subject: Re: Helen St Pierre** To: Ali Malik Cc: Gerard Draetta Hi Ali, I spoke to Helene's financial advisor to request more money to pay this bill and he said he was concerned that this was a legitimate expense for Helene and says he will not release any funds without first seeing all the paperwork (I have provided him with the outstanding bill). He requested to see the contract setting this out the cost, hours, interest, etc. before he will release any money. As I am only the power of attorney and not a joint account holder, I must account for all expenses and he is responsible for their accuracy. We need to figure out a plan going forward and as mentioned, management is not adamant on settling with the 30k you proposed given that the balance is at 96k. I told you I would try my best and get a discount for balance due, but you will need to talk to the financial advisor and get back to me on plan.
