Here is our timing outline for this rollout. Week of Oct 30th As a first step, you'll need to watch the training here (https://www.timeslips.org/checkout/?rid=mbOq6x&cf_1=g178) and please review this deck (https://www.timeslips.org/wp-content/uploads/toolkits/TimeSlips-Synopsis_of_Training.pdf) by Friday, Nov 3rd. The training is 2.5 hours (split into 6 parts that you can watch on demand and at your own pace; pause and continue if needed). You will leave the training much better equipped to communicate well with individuals with dementia and have a strong understanding of how to launch this program in group settings. Week of Nov 6th You'll be practicing a TimeSlips facilitation 3 times on your own. Ideally, you're practicing with someone with cognitive impairment. But if that's not possible, your practice sessions can be done with a loved one, your kids, or during one of your MindFit classes. This could also be a great team-building exercise if you practice with your co-workers after a team meeting. DSGs will host a regional HCL Huddle to talk through the TimeSlips training everyone has completed, facilitate a practice story live, talk through the value-add that this is to your memory care communities, and answer any Q&A. This session will allow HCLs to feel confident in hitting the field to be TimeSlips Facilitators!
