But before we go any further, I would like to clarify some mis-information that was stated during our conversation today. I spoke to the Director General of the Alzheimer Society of Montreal to clarify the difference between a sponsorship and a donation to the Society. Here's what I learned: To sponsor a conference, I was told no tax receipt is given. Instead, the Society can offer you certain opportunities that a donation cannot. For example, you may be interested in having a kiosk at the workshops and/or putting your company's name as a sponsor on pamphlets that are distributed to all participants who attend the workshops. This is in contrast to a donation to the Society when a tax receipt would be issued to acknowledge your donation. If you have any questions or concerns on the issue, please do not hesitate to contact me. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused you. Take care, Mona On Wed, Apr 8, 2015 at 11:58 AM, Timothy Thomas wrote: > Hi Mona, > > It was a pleasure speaking with you earlier. > > I discussed the sponsorship opportunity with my father and we're > definitely interested.
