The client needed nursing and caregiving services, but they were in Macedonia, which would be outside of our service area. Yet upon talking to the liaison, they were indicating whether or not we would be Interested in going through the process to becoming a Provider. She was sharing information in regards to clients that they have throughout Ohio and then laughed and indicated that she was actually needing somebody in California as well. I told her we were nationwide and she asked if she could send me information to consider a national partnership. Please advise whether this is something that we should pursue. As mentioned during our phone conversation, Sheakley UniComp is one of the managed care organizations in Ohio that medically manages claims for the Ohio BWC. We have cases not only in Ohio but all around the United States. Attached you will find the Medco 13 Form that we use for Provider Enrollment. The Medco13 along with further provider information can also be found on the OH BWC Website (providerenrollment@bwc.ohio.gov) If you get on the website, you will see that online submission is also an option. In addition to the completed Medco 13 Form, the OH BWC also requires proof of Medicare participation. Once the OH BWC approves enrollment, your company would be put on the Ohio BWC Provider List where other Managed Care Organizations in addition to Sheakley has access to and can call and request services for their injured workers. The Ohio BWC does have a fee schedule. You can find a copy of that on the BWC Website, or I can send a copy to you. Bills would be submitted to Sheakley.
