I was working on trying to see where we fell when looking at having to increase the salary and what we would be saving if we didn't have to send all of our caregivers out for testing. In a perfect world I could have used invoices but they weren't doing the testing until June as they were unaware that the regulations required it. We also weren't bringing in the amount of caregivers that we are now so I've looked at the last 2 months as that's when Matt took over recruiting. We pay $190 for the initial TB and physical and then $72 for the second TB test equaling $262 per caregiver. Matt has brought in 26 new caregivers in the last 2 months bringing the bill to $6812. We may not always have those numbers but even if we had 10 new hires a month it would be around $31,000 a year. I have had to disposition 4 of those caregivers for failing to complete the second TB so I guess that number could be a little lower but that's not considering the cost to onboard them. I do believe we would be able to retain some of these caregivers if they didn't have to go spend hours at concentra. It is very common to have a 2 hour wait time. In addition to that we all have to have a physical biannually which probably adds another 25 physicals a year. A nurse could complete both items. It would require that we have access to the TB skin test solution. The last time I purchased it I believe it was around $120 a vial but could be used for multiple tests. We would also need an account with a vendor like Medline which I believe just required a state license number to purchase rather than needing a doctor's order. Let me know your thoughts. -- *Teresa Heit* *Administrator* *(O) 913-663-5000* *(C) 913-961-3130* *6-4717*[image: TheKey] --00000000000034a3f3062c79a334 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hey Tim, We had talked about= the possibility of moving more towards an RN for the CSM role.
