The hours are fairly minimal but we know they can get out of hand quickly if we are not solving the problem . Please see below as I have asked some questions as you have more insight. Here are the caregivers with overtime hours *1. Reiselle Rampus - 7 hours overtime past pay period.* She looks clear going forward as this week she is at 35 and the following she is off. She worked last payroll with Bayers, Mcfaden and Adams so I was wondering there was an issue that we had to ask her to work overtime ? Was the overtime approved by anyone? *2. Suprinder Dhillon - 4 hours of overtime last payroll.* I am not understanding the schedule as she mainly works with Trigg's overnight but last week she also picked up another client which put her into overtime but again was there an issue that you had no choice? Going forward she has 40 hours every week but every second week I see her scheduled 1030-7am which is causing overtime every payroll- why is that? Is this a request from the client that she needs to start early every second week? If it is then the client should be paying the 30 min of overtime not us. Please clarify if you can. *3. Michelle Portsmouth- 7 hours of overtime last pay period* What seems to be her normal schedule is in line but she did two overnights the last payroll - was this a one off? Again what was the situation and was it approved? I don't see her regular schedule being an issue but we need to be careful of adding too many shifts unless we have no alternative and then there needs to be a note and who approved the overtime. *Clavicle - LPN - overtime 4 hours last payroll*. I think this is your client Trent Abraham that you have been having difficulty staffing due to LPN with pediatric training shortage? I am concerned as going forward Clavicle has 4 /12 hour overnight shifts which means 8 hour of overtime per week and 16 every payroll which we cannot sustain. I can see the day shifts are 10 hours and you have one person at 40 hours and one person at 30 hours so not alot of flex there. Is this the hire that we need ASAP to work overnight with this client? Calgary is a small but growing market but right now we have to keep all costs in line in order for it to be profitable so while 4 hours may not seem like a lot of overtime it can get out of hand quickly. I also realize that some of our clients are very picky about caregivers, but if they don't want someone new and the current team will be into overtime if they pick up a shift then we need to talk to the client about introducing someone new or paying overtime. Overtime is never a fun subject but super important to the bottom line and as schedulers we own it. We will always run into issues but if we can find the root
