Lisa and I are doing well! = I=E2=80=99ve cc=E2=80=99d our Care Manager, Maria, who will be in touch shor= tly to coordinate a call and discuss the best way we can support your brothe= r during his recovery. No= t sure if you=E2=80=99ll remember me but you helped out my Mom before the pa= ndemic with home care assistance for which we=E2=80=99re grateful (she passe= d away in Sept. at 97!). Anyway I=E2=80=99m a musician. My wife and I got to= know your wife Lisa when she was working at McKibbin=E2=80=99s and then Che= z Cora. I=E2=80=99m writing to ask about temporary in home help for my older= brother. He lives in a group home in DDO overseen by WICA. He is schizophre= nic but is as gentle as a lamb and has just had surgery to remove a tumour i= n his bladder at the Glen. We=E2=80=99re not sure when he=E2=80=99ll be rele= ased (perhaps tomorrow) but they=E2=80=99ll be sending him home with a cathe= ter which he=E2=80=99ll have to wear for another 10 days or so. He has mobil= ity issues so managing the catheter (cleaning, getting dressed, etc.) would b= e almost impossible for him. We=E2=80=99re hoping he=E2=80=99ll be assigned a= nurse from the CLSC to visit him once a day to make sure there=E2=80=99s no= risk of infection etc, but at this point we=E2=80=99re not certain that=E2=80= =99s going to happen. Therefore I was wondering if Home Care might provide s= uch a service and if so, what might it cost per day? His follow up appointme= nt is on May 09 where (hopefully) the catheter will be removed. If you could= provide any guidance, I=E2=8
