Sarena Virani is a Corporate Development Manager with HCA in Palo Alto. She started in home care years ago, and her areas of expertise include sales, operations and franchising. She has her Bachelor=E2=80=99s Degree in Business from McGill University and has spent the majority of her career in home care. Sarena worked with Nurse Next Door where she spent time coaching franchise partners, closing RFP's through the province, and navigating key contracts with referral partners in BC and Ontario. The questions that have come in from our Canadian group for Serena are: - What in your view are the challenges/opportunities around home care in a public health care system such as Canada=E2=80=99s? Who are the peopl= e or departments we should be targeting? - Residences/Communities often see home care companies as competitors. There seems to be little incentive to keeping clients versus transitioni= ng them to long term care due to an abundance of demand. Any suggestions? - Would you share your successes with RRFP=E2=80=99s I'll look forward to a great discussion.
