She referred Emily Swackhamer to the St. Louis GM position back in March, but was initially rejected for the position based on Jennifer Piper's decision. When Jennifer was let go from the company Emily was re-interviewed and offered the GM position, but did not start in the role until July. The referral incentive program was discontinued in June. Katie is asking for the $500 dollar referral bonus that she would have received if Emily was hired before the program was dis-continued.
