Marcia Knutt ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Marcia Knutt Date: On Sat, Sep 21, 2024 at 10:08 AM Subject: Fw: Lifeguard Lookout System To: Joey Taylor Cc: Maria Licoudis Hello Joey, I have a question that is most probably best directed at Amanda, but here it is. First some background: My husband Marc has been suffering from nighttime delirium believed to be due to small brain bleeds resulting from a fall, and also possibly exacerbated by taking a blood thinner. He is under the care of a neurosurgeon. This all started in mid August. Since then he has been getting better, with longer times between episodes. Because there is no way to predict when he will have one of these episodes, there is always someone with him every night. When the delirium is mild, he talks all night, waves his arms, and goes to bathroom with his walker. When it is bad, he gets up, tries to take his bedding apart, climb the walls around his bed, and most importantly, tries to go to bathroom (or leave his room) without his walker. Of course he falls. What I would like to know is this: will the Lifeguard system be able to detect movement in the area of the size of a twin bed? So, if he is disturbed, but in his bed, waving his arms, or tossing and turning (out of the ordinary) would we get any kind of signal to that effect? I realize if he gets up to go to bathroom, we will know, and if he does so many times a night, that will also be clear. But would I get a more or less immediate response should he start ripping the bed apart? My goal is to not have to stay with him every night, but only go to the residence if I get an alert that he is delirious. Can you find out an answer to this for me? Thanks so much, Marcia --000000000000203de90622a1ce2c Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hey Timothy, Can you kindly respond to this email since Jo= ey is currently unavailable?
