To summarize our discussion, Canada's anti-spam law technically requires express consent from a consumer in order for us to send them a marketing email. However, currently there is no right for an individual to file a private lawsuit as the only enforcement mechanism is a government complaint/regulatory action. That being the case, the risk should be manageable as long as we are tight on our unsubscribe process as described below. To the extent we receive a significant number of consumer complaints or a government action we can reassess our strategy. Happy to discuss further as needed. Thanks.
