I would greatly appreciate if you could share this email with anyone whom you feel may benefit from attending our workshop. The pilot project consists of developing a half-day workshop to educate family members on the most important elements that caregivers will need to know regarding the disease. It would include a two-hour theory component to help family members prepare themselves for the journey of caring for someone who has the disease, including best practices for ensuring their own well-being as caregivers. It would also include a simulation component that would take place inside the simulated apartment and teach family members how to keep their loved ones safe at home. Through education and empowerment, this workshop will help support caregivers and provide them the necessary resources to turn to in the community for support. The workshops will take place on Friday, September 15th and Friday, September 22nd, 2017 from 9am to 12pm at: Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning McGill University / Faculty of Medicine 3575 avenue du Parc Suite 5640 Montreal, Quebec H2X 3P9 People can register for either date. We will be accepting a maximum of 12 people per workshop therefore place is limited. The pilot project is free of charge and will be given in English. Should the project be approved, future workshops will also be provided in French. For those participants that are interested, they are welcome to contact me by email at claire@carecrosswalk.com or by registering online per the attached link which provides additional information about the project. http://www.mcgill.ca/medsimcentre/channels/news/teaching-home-care-simulated -apartment-268657 Many thanks and kind regards, Claire Webster Certified Alzheimer Care Consultant and Trainer President & Founder Caregiver Crosswalk Inc. / Passage Aidant www.carecrosswalk.com 514-826-9968 --B_3580888635_109335305 Content-type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable Dear Friends, Colleagues and Clients, = I am working in collaboration with McGill Universi= ty's Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning, the Jewish Ge= neral Hospital's Centre for Excellence in Aging and Chronic Illness as well = as participation from McGill's School of Occupational Therapy on a pilot pro= ject that will educate family m
