Team,
Thanks for connecting earlier. As we discussed, as a best practice it would
be great if we were able to get caregivers to sign new employment
agreements outlining the appropriate range of rates, but I understand there
is limited HR support in Canada and this would be burdensome for the local
teams.
While this is not as common in Canada as it is in the US, my thought is
that for all new client shifts we make clear that a shift is being offered
at a particular rate and require a CG written response accepting the shift.
While there is still some risk that the CG claim he/she is owed the amount
outlined in the employment agreement, it is much more defensible given our
offer and the CG's acceptance in Clearcare. Also, the reality is a CG is
much less likely to complain if we are transparent about the rate and
giving the CG the opportunity to determine whether to accept the shift that
may be below their listed rate in the employment agreement.
Happy to discuss further as needed. Also adding Nina so she is in the loop
about our discussion.
Thanks, all.
