As discussed, here is a summary of tasks that caregivers typically assist clients with: -Light housekeeping (tidying up, loading and emptying dishwasher, light dusting) -Meal preparation for client -Laundry -Assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting, food and feeding) These are guidelines that differ from one client to the next. The same can be said for caregivers. Each one is different. Here are a few of the tasks that the weekday caregivers in particular have felt go "outside the scope of care": - Serving guests and cleaning up after them - Watering of indoor/outdoor plants -Keeping the lawn tidy -Cleaning the pool filter -Ironing clothes -Vacuuming -Scrubbing areas that the cleaner missed Now, some of these tasks would be OK under other circumstances. It is not always black and white. Our caregivers are kind and caring individuals who want to help Sheila as best they can. They feel that given how much assistance Sheila requires, the intensity of their work day has them feeling overwhelmed. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you and Sheila. I look forward to hearing back from you.
