Typically, it remains an internal document, however I have attached it for you to refer to. The tools are short assessment forms that we complete during our meeting with your mother to gain insight on her overall functioning. The focus is on nutrition, cognition, fall risk, behaviour/mood and lastly home and safety. Each tool is designed to develop an understanding of your mother=E2=80=99s current si= tuation which allows us to create an assessment and make specific recommendations. Regarding housekeeping, our caregivers are able to provide light housework which can include laundry, dishes, making the bed, dusting and ensuring overall that the home is kept clean and reducing any fall risk. Often our clients who already have housekeeping services maintain them, as the caregiver=E2=80=99s primary task is provide for the client=E2=80=99s needs = (ADL and IADL) and only 20% of their time per shift can be spent on household tasks. Our caregivers are able to assist with meal preparation which are based on the needs of the client. Thus can be defined as either preparing the entire meal or simply assisting the client if they wish to prepare the meal independently. Depending on what your mother would prefer, she can continue to receive the daily lunch or the caregiver can prepare lunch for her. During our assessment, your mother indicated that she was given a list of exercises that she can complete each day. Our caregivers are trained nurse=E2=80=99s aide and can therefore assist her in completing the exercis= es and encourage daily walks. For any additional information, please do not hesitate to ask. --=20 *Corrina Masson* *Care Manager* *Home Care Assistance (Montr**=C3=A9**al) Inc.* *4464 Ste.
