I propose hiring two additional individuals for the role of on-call scheduler. One would be a full-time position, while the other would be part-time. I understand that this might initially seem like a significant investment, but I firmly believe it would provide us with a much-needed safety net. Having two additional schedulers would greatly strengthen our backup system, ensuring that we are adequately covered in case ask for a sick leave or vacation. This would ultimately prevent us from being put in stressful situations again. Furthermore, these schedulers would have to continue scheduling after office hours just the same as our current schedulers, not only for last-minute sick calls. By doing so, we could effectively eliminate the need to hire a third scheduler for office hours. In essence, it would be like hiring only the scheduler for the equivalent of 32 hours, thus optimizing our resources. I believe this approach not only addresses our immediate concerns but also offers long-term benefits in terms of efficiency and cost-effectiveness. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and feedback on this proposal. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss this further. *Scheduler A (40 hours):* - Sunday: 9 am - Monday 9 am (16 hours paid) Considering 9 am to 10 pm (13 hours), then calls should stop and resume 6 am to 9 am (3 hours) with the odd calls in the middle of the night. - Monday: 5 pm - Tuesday 9 am (8 hours paid) Considering calls from 5 pm to 10 pm (4 hours) and resume 6 am to 9 am (3 hours) with the odd calls in the middle of the night. - Tuesday: 5 pm - Wednesday 9 am (8 hours paid) - Wednesday: 5 pm - Thursday 9 am (8 hours paid) *Scheduler B (32 hours):* - Thursday: 5 pm - Friday 9 am (8 hours paid) - Friday: 5 pm - Saturday 9 am (8 hours paid) - Saturday: 9 am - 10 pm (13 hours paid) and 6 am - 9 am (4 hours paid) [image: TheKey] Elizabeth Manjarrez Recruiter The Key 1861 Marine Dr. Vancouver, BC V7V 1J7 *T* 778 279 3634 *F* 778 279 3635 *E* emanjarrez@thekey.com --0000000000005e142f06177cfb1b Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Dear Sharon, I wanted to bring to your attenti= on a proposal regarding our on-call schedulers that I believe could greatly= benefit our team.
