I am = working the shift today from 6am-10am at Burlington Gardens. We are doing full medication administration. One woman has missed medications for 2 days. We are hugely liable for this. We are not supposed to do any medication administration as Ontario regulates it must be done by a nurse or a UCP (weekend training for PSWs). I wanted to bring this to your attention immediately as we are doing medication administration and medication has been missed for residents. I am going to be working the next 3 days of 6am shifts and I will continue to do medication but we should have a nurse here or CSM as soon as possible to avoid any further issues with medications and liability. Any guidance or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
