I will also be on the call. Matt is up to speed on all of our conversations and has seen the financials you have submitted to date. You can think of the call as one of the final steps in the evaluation process -- and an interview of sorts -- nothing formal, but in the spirit of presenting well it might be best to approach it as such and prepare a bit on the points below. Specifically, he may ask about the following: - Motivation - What motivates you about joining our team? Given that you prefer cash over equity, which is completely fine, he will just want to make sure you are committed for the foreseeable future to joining our management team. - Roles - Perhaps you can walk through your proposal for your roles after close? No need to focus on titles, but more so your vision for responsibilities, full-time vs. part-time, and reporting structure would be helpful. We would rather have you propose something here than us. One of you would ultimately report to Chen, of course -- so that is a point of clarification. E.g., do you envision that Timothy is the full-time manager and reports to Chen and that Tim, you are the part-time President and advisor (in addition to Chen)? We are open. Keep in mind that finance activities would likely be centralized, Tim, in case that impacts how you think about your preferred role. - Opportunity - If you joined our corporate team, where do you expect the greatest opportunities lie in the next few years for growth? Any questions? Is there a time that works tomorrow, 12-2pm or 3pm or later ET, or Friday, 3pm or later ET? Matt is an agreeable guy and I expect the call to go well.
