As you know, I am a Member of the Governm= ent of Canada=92s Advisory Board on Dementia and the Public Health Agency o= f Canada has asked me if I could share this information within my network a= nd I am hoping that you can help recruit some participants from The Key acr= oss Canada. Thanks in advance! Please see below: The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is conducting a research project = to better understand the availability of and access to relevant dementia ca= re education and training among paid care providers, and how this may impac= t their ability to provide quality dementia care. PHAC is currently looking to recruit personal support workers (PSWs) to par= ticipate in focus groups or interviews. As there is variety of roles and re= sponsibilities in this field, PSWs have been defined broadly for this resea= rch to include those who provide regular paid care or support multiple time= s a week to one or more persons living with dementia. These roles may also = be known as: * Continuing care assistants/aides; * Community support workers; * Direct care workers; * Respite workers; * Personal care attendants; * Personal or health care aides/assistants; * Nurse aides/assistants; or * Home and community care workers * If you or someone you know may be interested in participating, please provi= de a contact email to PHAC at phacdementiapolicyaspcpolitiquessurlademence@= phac-aspc.gc.ca . Your contact information will be shared with PHAC=92s communicat= ions team, who will follow up with a short online survey (screener) to conf= irm your eligibility and availability for this research. Thank you for considering this opportunity. For any questions, please feel = free to reach out to PHAC at the email above.
