This group benefit plan has been on a 28 month rate guarantee which has now ended and as such, the employee group benefit plan with Manulife is set to renew on December 1st so we wanted to provide you with the following documents to review: - Home Care Assistance of Vancouver_BFP 2021 Renewal Rate Summary & Experience Analysis (which includes HCSA reporting) - Manulife Detailed 2021 Renewal Report - Manulife Client Copy (additional EHC distribution reports) We are happy to advise that BFP was able to successfully negotiate with Manulife to go with an overall increase of 9.4% instead of the originally proposed increase of 17.9%. Given the health claims activity over the past two years, we find these rates to be fair and would recommend acceptance. The monthly premium will go from the current $1,623.71 to $1,775.85, an increase of approximately $152.14 Back in June we were advised that Carolina and Jay had sold the business back to HCA corporate with Jay stepping away but Carolina is remaining. Please let us know if there have been any changes since June that we should be aware of. As always, Mark is more than happy to review the renewal and answer any additional questions you or Carolina may have.
