She has worked in the provincial home care sector as = a coordinator and registered nurse and understands the basic home care = or healthcare needs. She can be trained on how private or concierge home = care works. When asked, she had limited knowledge on some of the key = differentiators of HCA when asked. I explained the benefits to clients = receiving proprietary services such as BCM and CTM. I could not get a = sense of her hunger for the job and therefore her longevity. She = expressed that she was uncomfortable with unprecedented change and = travel to southwest Ontario and that was the biggest driver for her to = consider interviewing with HCA. Strengths: Cindy is highly connected with the need for home care and understands = why private care management is an important piece. She is convinced that = seniors need to stay home.=20 Her selling style is more consultative and she can be analytical. These = are essential traits when dealing with trusted advisors such as estate = planner, lawyers etc., and executives in retirement community or = hospitals.=20 She is comfortable working with higher levels of management and = recognizes that to build credibility she needs understand individual = needs and be knowledgable.=20 When asked what is her biggest driver personally and/or professionally, = she mentioned that she wants to make a difference in peoples=E2=80=99 = lives. Cindy is technically oriented and could be a great advocate for science = based programs such as BCM and CTM - she may resonate well with = Directors of Health/Wellness or Nursing.=20 Areas of development: Cindy may not have the relationship with enough potential HCA referral = partners to be producing results immediately. This is an area you can = focus in your meeting; what are the tactics that she is going to adopt = to be effective in the short term? She will require a bit more coaching and direction as she is new to the = private home care. She exhibited good learning agility and with proper = guidance, she could be a great contributor.=20 I could not gauge her motivation to join HCA, as she could not describe = some of the benefits of HCA that stood out for her. Her answers were = generic when asked about private home care. Perhaps you can drill bit = more on this segment to assess her hunger and longevity. In conclusion, I liked Cindy=E2=80=99s approach to selling and the fact = that she is a nurse. She could be a good hire and requires a bit more of = hand holding and we need to be patient as she builds relationships with = our referral partners. I look forward to your thoughts.=20 Best Regards, Matt Matt Vijayan, B.Sc., MBA, CCPE Home Care Assistance=20 375 University Ave E, Unit 104, Waterloo, ON, N2K3M7 Tel: 519-954-2111 2525 O
