=20 =20 Good evening Christina, I am including Tim in on this email as for some reason he was excluded= from your reply to my sister's earlier email. A couple of items of note: - We completely understand the vaccination issue. - At no time during our telephone conversation regarding care fo= r my mother, nor any reference in the agreement you forwarded and my sister= signed and returned to you, was the PPE situation addressed with us; neith= er a requirement, nor that we are to supply at our expense any such items.&= #160; While I understand that certain care may require PPE, you neglected t= o inform us that we are responsible for this. Can you explain why we = were not advised in advance? Regards, Joanne Proulx 514-826-4788 ---------- Original Message ---------- From: Christina Leo <cleo@homecareassistance.com> Date: June 9, 2021 at 5:23 PM Hi Elizabeth, I have been working with human resources closely and we are still look= ing. For the vaccinations, by law we are not allowed to ask caregivers if t= hey are vaccinated as it goes under discrimination. We were told by les nor= mes du travail that it is not allowed to be asked when hiring an employee. = For this reason, we can't guarantee the caregiver will be vaccinated un= less they state it themselves. As for uniforms, because your mother was in hospital it is protocol th= at caregivers must wear hospital gowns, masks, gloves and visors at all tim= es, except when they are in their bedroom. This will be required for 14 day= s. Once the 14 days are completed, they must still be wearing their masks a= nd visors at all times as well as using gloves when changing diapers and do= ing hygiene routine. All PPE will be your responsibility to pay unfortunate= ly but we can provide it and charge you. The price is $3.30 a gown and $25 = per box of mask and gloves. Most caregivers will most likely feel more comfortable wearing scrubs = when doing certain tasks, such as changing diapers and providing hygiene ca= re. Please let me know if you have any other questions, Christina On Wed, Jun 9, 2021 at 4:48 PM Elizabeth Proulx < e.proulx@videotron.ca &#62= ; wrote: Hi Tim, We have spoken to Christina, documents signed and returned we are ho= ping to have everything in place asap. Not mentioned but probably obvious, caregivers must be vaccinated. Also, we are hoping for someone with a sense of humour, fun and easy= going. Mom is 76 years young and has a corky sense of humour and my sister = and I are relaxed and easygoing too. The perfect caregiver would be someone who is friend/family type car= egiver :) we would like for them to feel part of the family. Another thing, they aren’t wearing uniforms, right!? We don&#8= 217;t want a hospital environment.
