My m= other lives at home (Pointe Claire, QC), but my father was admitted to the = hospital in November, and was there for 2.5 months due to bleeding (he take= s warfarin). He has mild dementia, and needs low level care, including some cueing assis= tance showering (maybe 2-3 times a week), meds admin morning and evening ea= ch day... He is currently in a residence, but does not like it very much. The hospit= al said the only way they would plow him home is to allow assistance at hom= e, but she has been hesitant to a stranger going into the house.
