The temporary lift and the lift that will be installed can be used by one person to transfer my father (my mom was able to do it also on her own, when she was doing it) Sylvie mentioned to me on Saturday she was not able to use it alone. CLSC will not be sending someone 2 times a day anymore. They feel the lift can be managed by one person and have offered to help us out with some services during the hours from 12 to 3 when they are alone. Please let me know if your staff is ok with getting my father out of bed and into his wheelchair or chair by themselves. My father seems to enjoy being in the rest of the house, there are already ramps installed in the main entrance so he can also be taken for a walk ;) Let me know if you have any questions.
