The goal will be to complete the program 3 times per week. We explained the program to your mother and she seemed to be open to the idea. This week Anita reported that your mother has not been as tired, however she did contact Anita twice over the weekend and appeared to be confused with the caregiver schedule. Regarding your mother's medication, Anita has been finding unopened packages of pills around the house (I attached a picture below). It seems that your mother is becoming increasingly confused with when she is supposed to be taking the pills and where she locates them (they are always located on the kitchen counter). It appears that she is keeping the old packages of medication and may be taking the old packages instead of the new packages? Unfortunately, if she continues to take the wrong dose of medication, we will not be able to track the progress of the new meds and is potentially causing harm if she is taking two dosages a day. Given the concern, I would strongly consider the need to have a caregiver to cover the majority of the morning routines (potentially increase to 5 or 6 mornings per week) to ensure medication is taken properly and continue to provide all meal prep. I would be happy to discuss further if you had any questions and would encourage you to share your feedback or any additional concerns you may have.
