A few updates this month *Enhanced Masking Measures Eliminated at this time* As of March 4th Ministry has dropped the mandatory masking requirements in villages for team members, students, volunteers, and support workers. Please still keep Infection Control Measures at top of mind. As always, we will follow ministry requirements and at some point in future they may again require temporary measures. We will advise if/when that occurs. Some more details for guidance below and attached =E2=80=A2 Masks are required based on point of care risk assessment (PCRA) = and as per additional precautions signage. =E2=80=A2 Masks are required based on t= he return-to-work protocol following COVID-19 infection as outlined in the Infectious Disease Protocol Appendix 1: Case definitions and Disease Specific Information: Diseases caused by a novel coronavirus. =E2=80=A2 Mas= ks may be worn based on individual preference, or if requested by resident or SDM during care and villages will have them available. =E2=80=A2 Supplier Partn= ers may consider wearing a mask during prolonged direct resident care defined as one-on-one within two metres of an individual for fifteen minutes or longer. For visitors: =E2=80=A2 Masks are recommended, but not required. Ex= ceptions to the masking requirements are: =E2=80=A2 children who are younger than tw= o years of age =E2=80=A2 any individual (staff, student, volunteer, support worker, caregiver, visitor or resident) who is being accommodated in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. 2005 or the Ontario Human Rights Code. *International Womens Day* International Women=E2=80=99s Day is celebrated on 8th March every year aro= und the world.
