I realize she is not always able to do this. So my sister and I will continue to speak to her and be firm that my Dad needs care at 7. Let's try with her answering the door for 7, if she is unable to get up, we will be firm with the key idea.If we need to use it, can you have Arthur call me when he tries and I can walk him through it. I tested the number and it is working. For the food we also did some brainstorming. What about if Arthur prepares food for a few days. Instead of asking to prepare supper that night he advises he is going to make something for the next couple of days ? That way there is always something prepared for the days she does not prepare anything. My sister and I understand my mom needs to have control in some areas. These 2 areas we feel are too important to let go and we will work with my mother to make sure someone is available to attend to my Dad at 7 and that he is eating well.
