I had a meeting with Christina Murphy from Heritage Meadows in Cambridge. (They are independent living, only provide meals, housekeeping & programs. No PSW or care support, they want to remain 100% hands-off care services.) They have a prime location and are a preferred choice in Cambridge. They have always had 100% occupancy, just dipping during covid but back up at 88% now and climbing up steadily again. Side note: They were one of my biggest competitors so I know them well, I know Christina would want to work with me and would advocate if we have a strong pitch.) OPPORTUNITY: They have new management starting Nov 1st-Brightwater. No longer with Hawthrone, (There's any property in this region, Guelph Lake Commons.) Christina said there might be an opportunity to pitch having an office at Heritage Meadows. They want to be completely hands-off and residents/families arrange directly. This could be a mix of caregivers, PSW and RPN. I would like to see us get ahead of competitors to have a solid plan to pitch. They would need to have multiple companies pitch if they go in this direction. I'm certain we would be going against Home Instead. I know they have a strong relationship with Seniors for Seniors but I don't think they could pitch for this. Can I ask that you sort out with operations what our pitch could be and we work towards being prepared for a Nov 1st target? I remember hearing bits & pieces of this model at the conference, maybe you/Tim know who to speak to gather details of what works in this type of model.
