They were doing really well and were soon headed to Pointe Claire Village. Your parents expressed that they have been enjoying their daily outings day and both Nancy and Pam have been keeping them busy during the day. Your mother expressed to me that it has been an adjustment having someone else in the home as she is very independent. Despite this adjustment, she has expressed that she enjoys both Nancy and Pam. While your mother is occupied and doing an activity, Nancy has been able to get the light housework done. Your father mentioned that he has noticed that he has been struggling with some short term memory problems. Our Cognitive Therapeutics Method may be of interest to your parents. It is an individualized program that focuses on brain health and cognitive stimulation. Our caregivers receive an additional training to be able to administer the program and it is typically done 3-5 times per week for about 30 minutes. The goal of the program is designed to exercise multiple areas of the brain to help slow down the process of cognitive decline. There is no additional cost to the program as your parents are already receiving care everyday.
