I spoke to Hua yesterday to see if there was anything more we could do to get her to stay with TheKey and she advised that the new opportunity she had was the better choice for her. To that end, I want to update you on our plans to cover the work performed today by Hua:
Step 1 – Learn & Cover the Work
* Hua has already detailed out for us all the tasks she performs as well as all of her contacts
* Three of our accounting staff have started meeting with Hua immediately to shadow and learn her work. Brian Fialko, my Director of Accounting is leading this effort along with his team of Rebecca Ng and Daniel Barakat. We also plan to bring in a temp ASAP to help with the workload.
* We are adding 2 new permanent roles to the existing accounting staff, providing us the added capacity to support Canada
Step 2 – Integrate Canada
* As we work to integrate Canadian entities into our standard processes over the next 6 months, the accounting team supporting Canada will be larger (i.e., our whole accounting team)
* This will allow for cross training and broader knowledge of the Canadian processes vs. the key person dependent situation we have today with Hua
