To summarize, we have recently signed up with two Montreal based residences. They both chose "option 2" of the proposal, where they identified several candidates who would benefit from cognitive therapy and offered to pay a 1 month trial of the program. Following the trial, the families have the option of continuing the service. Here is an article from a Canadian residence that recently began offering one-on-one cognitive therapy for dementia patients as an alternative to medication intervention.
