For instance, if we provided you with a vehicle there would a portion that is considered a taxable benefit. The size of the taxable benefit is what we need to clarify. Our accountant is away for the remainder of the week so I hope to have an answer early next week. Ultimately, would you be interested in a vehicle that you would be able to take home and utlize outside of business hours? It would be a small car, likely a Chevrolet Spark, wrapped in HCA colors. You would be responsible for the gas used during private use. Given that you only work 4 days per week, you would receive a higher portion for personal use than others, therefore your taxable benefit would be higher, likely in the range of $900-$2000 which you would then pay tax on....so with a marginal tax rate of 35% you would be on the hook for approximately $300 to $800 / year. As mentioned, I'll have more on this next week. In the meantime. We've increased your base salary by 2.5% effective on the anniversary of your start date, May 9th. The adjustment will be visible on your next pay cheque. Regards, Tim --=20 *Timothy Thomas* *Client Care Manager* *Home Care Assistance (Montr**=C3=A9**al) Inc.* *4464 Ste.
