I did the assessment for Edwin Goldenberg yesterday. He and his wife do not want to pay by ACH or credit card. They are requesting to pay by check. I informed them that I would need to get prior approval and that they would need to pay for the first week in advance (they agreed with this). They are seeking services for 7 days / 6 hours for one week (rate is $40) to help Ed transition to AL with the goal of him no longer needing caregiver support after the first week. We would reevaluate how Ed is doing and collaborate with the AL team to see if Ed needs further support after the week. If that is the case, it would be week by week reassessment and the family would continue to pay up front with a check. Please let me know if check payment is approved and if so, I will send CCA and heads up email today.
