Please provide the correct business number that you have registered with Canada Revenue. Please note, if you’re not already registered in the CARM portal with CBSA that will need to be completed as well. More info on getting registered with CARM is provided below. Please let us know if you have any questions. *The CARM Client Portal (CCP) is LIVE!* *Below is all the information you need to assist you in getting set up on CBSA’s CARM client Portal (CCP)* *If you are not yet registered on the CARM Client Portal (CPP), please do so as soon as possible*. Failure to be registered on the portal and have your broker(s) delegated will cause delays in your shipments being processing and delays in final accounting of your entries to CBSA. The CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) Client Portal (CCP) is now accessible to all importers. All importers conducting business with the CBSA on behalf of their organization *MUST* create an individual user account on the CBSA CARM Client Portal. Register at: *CARM Client Portal - CARM <https://ccp-pcc.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/en/homepage>* For assistance in setting up in the CARM Portal please refer to the following guides: - *How to create sign in credentials and a user account in the CARM Client Portal <https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/multimedia/carm-gcra/portal-portail-r1-1-eng.html>* - *User Guides / Guides d’utilisateur - Google Drive <https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-5_9qhsBEMk2MkoBNZQCyGUUCxBfmjsz>* Expect to answer 2 out of 3 of the following affinity questions to complete your registration: - *Duties and Taxes Payment:* Provide a transaction number and the total duties and taxes for that transaction that was previously accepted by CBSA. - *Payment Amount:* Enter a payment amount made on a chosen date. - *Statement of Account balance:* Enter the statement of account balance for a chosen date ($0.00) amounts are not accepted. *Once registered, you can confirm delegation of authority to UPS as your broker*. Giving the appropriate access to UPS ensures seamless accounting of your shipments. *To approve UPS’ Delegation of Authority request:* - Sign into the CARM Client Portal - Go to “Manage Business Relationships”. - You will see the request from UPS. - If you do not see a request, please email us at *carm@ups.com <carm@ups.com>*. For additional information on CARM please visit *CARM (canada.ca) <https://ccp-pcc.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/en/onboarding-documentation>* or email us at *carm@ups.com <carm@ups.com>*. Attached are 2 fliers discussing the bond and an Excel file to fill out if you are interested in purchasing a bond with us thru Trisura/AON. When choosing Surety bond, the requirement is 50% of total security required. Also attached is the step by step guide for how to re-apply for RPP privileges in the CARM Client Portal (CPP) once you have your bond set up. If you choose to set up your Surety bond through us with Trisura, please fill out and return the excel file to us, please include this in your response: *I, (your name) understand and accept the information I have provided with be shared with Trisura/AON.* Once the information is received, we will then upload that information to Trisura/AON. They will then reach out to you to complete the purchasing process. Also, you have a cash deposit option -this would be 100% of total security required. Cash deposits can now be made directly in the CCP. At that point, you would submit a payment, which you would then allocate to financial security. These funds will be held in an account by CBSA to secure against potential non-payment of invoices. CBSA will monitor the account and provide guidance if an increase in the deposit is necessary at a later date. The deposit does not accrue interest. However, should you no longer require Release Prior to Payment privileges or cease importing, you may apply to have the deposit refunded. I have attached a User guide on how to do this if that is the option you choose. You are now able to see what CBSA is requesting in the CARM Client Portal for financial security. From the home page in the CARM Client Portal->financial information->financial security. Please remember to put your correct RM extension for your business number (IE. RM0001) as an incorrect number will cause the bond to be rejected by CBSA. Also, it is strongly recommended that if you have multiple business number RM extensions that you have a separate bond for each RM or you have a bond large enough to cover all RM extensions. Once you have your financial security in place, please notify us by emailing *carmrpp@ups.com <carmrpp@ups.com>* so that we are aware and can re-submit your shipment to customs for release.
