Due to increasing safety concerns and the need for a higher level of support, he transitioned to Silverado today (12/9/25), which will be a significant adjustment for him. His wife had previously placed a deposit with the community in anticipation that placement would become necessary, and a recent incident involving smoking indoors and in the basement prompted the decision for immediate move-in to ensure safety. Lew also presents with Parkinson features, including intermittent unsteady gait. He is able to perform most activities of daily living independently; however, he may require redirection and encouragement as he can be resistant to completing certain tasks. Stand-by assistance is recommended during ambulation and routine safety checks are advised due to fall risk and impaired judgment.
