This week, we're continuing our conversation on ADL and IADL tasks. Following our focus on ADL/IADL visibility, we are now prioritizing *Task Accuracy*. While it=E2=80=99s tempting to apply all tasks to all shifts, ca= re plans should be curated to reflect the specific expectations of each visit (e.g., omitting showers from overnight shifts). *By ensuring tasks are shift-specific and reasonable to execute, we protect the integrity of our LTC reimbursements and respect our caregivers' time by streamlining their clock-out routine.* Below, we'll show you two different ways to add your tasks to specific shifts. *Option 1: Adding Tasks from Care Plan* When creating or updating the client's care plan, or adding a new task, select the clock on the right-hand side of the task. From there, select the specific shifts to which you want to assign the task. [image: image.png] [image: image.png] In this example, our client only receives a shower on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, even though she receives care daily. Now, our Monday, Wednesday and Friday caregivers will be assigned the task "Assist client with shower," eliminating incomplete tasks from shifts that don't apply. **Helpful Hack: When you or your staffing team are adding shifts for clients, going one day at a time and selecting a weekly occurrence for your shifts, rather than creating one shift and having it repeat daily, will break out your shifts on the task assignment as pictured above. This makes it easy to select the days for adding your individual tasks. * *Option 2: Adding Tasks from Shifts* You can also add tasks directly from your shift calendar. To do this, select the shift (or series of shifts) that you would like your task assigned to: [image: image.png] From here, Click "Add Task" on the top right corner of the pop-up window, and select which care plan tasks should be added to the shift. When you check the box, the task will disappear from the picklist, and a confirmation message will appear in the top right of your window, stating "Task 'Assist Client with Brief' has been added!" [image: image.png] [image: image.png] Confirming which tasks are assigned to each shift is easy - simply click on the shift to see the task details: [image: image.png] We hope you all enjoyed this latest
