W= e recently learned that the VA follows a Sunday=96Saturday authorization cy= cle, which doesn=92t align with our standard TK Monday=96Sunday billing wee= k. Because of this discrepancy, the ClearCare authorization tool does not prov= ide an accurate view of clients=92 remaining benefit amounts. We=92ve recen= tly identified instances where this misalignment resulted in exceeding clie= nt authorizations and write-offs. As a result, our billers have adjusted ho= w we review and submit VA billing. What=92s Changed: * The Billing team is now auditing, finalizing, and submitting VA shifts base= d on the Sunday=96Saturday schedule. * If overages are identified billing will reach out to local office partners = for adjustments. * Please keep this schedule in mind when planning services and reviewing VA c= lient schedules. Impact: * Approximately 200 VA clients are affected across all TK locations. * This update will improve billing accuracy and reduce potential write-offs d= ue to authorization overages. I=92ve attached a quick reference guide for reviewing VA hours, in case it'= s helpful.
