Hi

I’m not an IT expert but I do have clients that use different user logins on a simple windows computer and it works.

QB is installed for each user and they all access the same data.

Thanks
Randi

Everyone:

Creating login profiles will not change that only one user can login to windows at a time. The computer is a single-user standalone PC, not a terminal server with the ability to support multiple users logging in with different sessions.

I have escalated to my management, and we are working to find a solution. As I said, this is much more complicated than simply providing access. We will potentially need to migrate to an entirely different version of Quickbooks, and another method of access.

Seems to me we had that once way back. If I remember, it was not that simple with multiple people using it at the same time.

Hi

What about if you create different user login profiles on the computer and then get a multi-user license for QB?

Then we can all work at the same time with no effect on security.

Thanks

Hi Ali:

Quickbooks is a VERY complicated database software, and the files it uses to store all of the data is hosted on the computer you remote into. This is far more complicated than simply installing software, as it involves multiple users in multiple locations accessing sensitive data, with requirements for invoicing in multiple languages. We cannot move quickly with financial database software as many considerations need to be made to prevent data loss and corruption.

This is a major project that will take some time, and cannot be resolved overnight without an enormous amount of risk.

Hi Aaron,

Can we please figure out a way to get multiple people working in quickbooks.

There are many delays as multiple individuals need access at any given time.

We need to figure out a solution sooner than later please. This is a bit urgent in nature.

Why can we not just download quickbooks enterprise on each of our computers and access it like that?

Thank you,
