IT Alert: AWS Outage Impacting TheKey Communication Systems (Zoom, Slack,
FreshCaller)
Dear Employees of TheKey,
We are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting several of our
key communication platforms due to a larger Amazon Web Services (AWS)
outage impacting organizations nationwide.
The primary issue we are seeing is a Zoom Phone service interruptions.
Additionally, we are receiving reports that Slack and FreshCaller may also
be affected by this issue.
*As a result, some users may be unable to:*
- Make or receive calls through Zoom or FreshCaller
- Send or receive messages on Slack
There is no estimated time frame for when these issues will be fully
resolved.
TheKey’s IT Team is actively monitoring the situation and remains in
contact with our service partners. We will provide updates as more
information becomes available.
There is no action required at this time. The IT Help Desk will send out
another notification once all services are restored.
*In the meantime, please use the following alternatives:*
- For Internal Messaging (instead of Slack): Please use Google Chat.
- For Internal Calls/Meetings: Please use Google Meets.
- For Outgoing/External Calls (instead of Zoom
Phone/FreshCaller): Please use your company-issued mobile device.
