The IT Help Desk has received several tickets reporting that the 8x8
application fails to launch. We believe this issue is caused by an outdated
version of the application.
The fix is to update your 8x8 application to the newest version. To install
the update a member of the IT Help Desk will need to assist you. The most
recent version # is 8.10.3.
If you experience an issue with 8x8 failing to open, please reach out to
the IT Help Desk, by emailing us at itsupport@thekey.com or by calling us
at (888) 838-1955.
*Issue:* The 8x8 application fails to open when launched.
*Impact:* low as most users will have the newest version (3 tickets have
been received thus far for the issue).
*Workaround:* Users can use the browser based version of 8x8 by opening
this link <https://work.8x8.com/> and logging in using their Google
username and Password. Some users may use a different Username and PW. In
those cases, please use the appropriate credentials.
*Next Update:* No need for further updates as a solution has been provided.
