Hospitalization was narrowly avoided!

Thursday evening, we received an alert from our care and safety device installed in a 95-year-old patient�s home. The client had gotten up at night 3 days in a row to go to the bathroom... Neither the caregiver nor the client considered a urinary infection, but our care program picked it up!

According to her doctor today, the statistics for UTIs with seniors are:
- Incontinence causes approximately one UTI per year.
- UTIs are responsible for 25% of hospitalizations.
- There is a mortality risk of 7%.

Jeudi soir, nous avons re�u une alerte de notre boitier de s�curit� des soins install� chez une patiente de 95 ans. La cliente s��tait lev�e la nuit trois jours de suite pour aller � la toilette...
Ni la pr�pos�e ni la cliente n�ont pens� � l'infection urinaire. Notre dispositif de s�curit�, oui !

Selon son m�decin vu ce jour, les statistiques des UTIs chez les ain�s :
- l�incontinence provoque environ une UTI par an
- responsable de 25% des hospitalisations
