The 1/1/24-1/7/24 period has now been billed. We recently had a Winnipeg Self and Family Managed Care (SFMC) client reach out to our help desk team regarding our billing/payment schedule to request an alternate schedule. To summarize the issue: - Clients receive funding from the government on a set bi-weekly schedule =E2=80=93 attached for reference. - Government audits to validate usage and determine future funding. - Billing schedules that do not align with the SFMC payment schedule can lead to audit discrepancies. - Audit discrepancies can lead to a loss of client funding. - There are currently 5 SFMC clients on record who received around $30k in billing in December. Based on this information it is Billing's recommendation that SFMC clients switch instead to a bi-weekly billing schedule with the next bill date being 1/23/24 to help improve the customer experience and ensure clients receive their maximum benefit. Please advise if you approve proceeding with billing SFMC clients on a bi-weekly basis.
